A fundraiser for food access.
Dateline: CARBONDALE, IL August 28, 2024 (eReleases) –The Secret Ingredient Competition Kitchen is a brand new “TV cooking competition” themed fundraiser for food access. All proceeds from the event will support the ongoing meal distributions provided by the Southern Illinois Collaborative Kitchen.
The Competition Kitchen kicks off with three weeks of fundraising challenges. Chefs and Teams compete against each other in fundraising to earn boosts and avoid extra hurdles during the competition.
On Saturday October 12, a basket of secret ingredients will be revealed to participants. Chefs will create a three course meal consisting of an appetizer, entree and dessert, and make it to the final judging ceremony to be evaluated by a panel of judges.
The judging ceremony is being held at Key West in Carbondale, IL and will be open to the public. A live stream of the event will also be watchable from Facebook and Instagram. Following the winner announcements, a Karaoke battle will commence.
